MUNICIPAL SAILING SCHOOL

Badalona moves closer to the sea through sport sailing

Badalona now has a working Municipal Sailing School, a public centre clearly intended to cater for the public and oriented towards bringing people, particularly children and young people at school, closer to the sea through sailing. This is a healthy, open educational sport providing training, improving skills and promoting contact with the environment.

The Badalona Municipal Sailing School (EMVB) will be located on the ground floor of the Dry Dock building, a large accessible space, which will offer many programmes, including day-long introductory courses, week-long courses, sailing after school hours, courses to perfect skills, summer schools, adapted sailing, a range for businesses, racing courses... The whole programme will have to follow the standards set by the Catalan Sailing Federation.

A wide range on offer at public prices approved by the company, so that everyone can find the course that best suits them, with the idea of trying sailing, learning, improving and perfecting their technique, and even, if they want to, ending up competing. The Municipal Sailing School is managed by the company Vela Badalona, which has won the tender process initiated in September 2010. We provide you with the catalogue of services and inform you of the prices approved in the specifications, as well as putting you in direct contact with the School.

List of Services

The range of services and activities to be developed at the EMVB includes a set of possibilities intended to offer activities with different degrees of specialisation, considering the centre’s aim to include all potential users, regardless of their level of expertise. So, the catalogue of activities includes try-outs (sailing beginners’ courses at all levels), learning (courses of different durations), improvement (sessions and courses to perfect technique) and competition (racing school), considering the centre’s aim to be wide-ranging and plural. It also offers season tickets to promote customer loyalty and includes a range of leisure activities for the holidays, as well as being ready to welcome groups who need special adaptation.
