Last weekend, it took place in Estany de Banyoles, the 2^nd Catalan Rowing Event, organized by the Catalan Rowing Federation. The races of sliding seat or fixed seat like Mediterranean and catalan llaguts were done on Sunday. Among the participants of fixed seats there were: Rem Santa Cristina, Rem Pescadors, Rem Empuriabrava, Rem Palamós, Rem Arenys, Vent d’Estrop de Cambrils, Nàutic Bétulo, Natació Badalona, Nàutic Amposta and Rem Badalona. These clubs, who participated in the youth categories, veterans and seniors; male and females, did the races in the Olympic races area making the distances of 1500 m for youth and veterans and 2000 m for seniors. The Rowing Club Badalona, presented for the first time a female senior team. Once finished, it took place a lunch for all the rowers of both fixed and sliding seat, where there was the trophies ceremony for the best teams, clubs and trainers of the season 2011. For fixed seat, the Rowing Club Badalona was awarded for being the best male senior team, and as the best trainer: Juan Manuel Novo, for winning: the Ligue Championship and Catalonia of Batel, Catalan and Mediterranean Llagut and to have achieved the fourth place in the Spanish Championship. The other awards were given to the female senior rowing team of Empuriabrava and as the best club, the Yacht Club Flix.

The world champion of duathlon Roger Roca has won this Sunday the 1^st race Badalona Running – Memorial Luis Condon. Roca has run the 10 kilometers of the route across the most emblematic places of the city within 31 minutes and 14 seconds. The athlete from Igualada was one of the most popular and favorite to cross the finishing line. The second position has been for the triathlete from Badalona Jordi Garcia Gràcia, with 32 minutes, and Marc hurtado has been the third. In the feminine category Maria Bartolí has been the first one to cross the finishing line, with a time of 40 minutes and the second has been Maite Ríos. The race has counted with nearly 1300 registered runners, among which we could find professional sportsmen with a great sportive resume. There also has been the participation of musical groups of Badalona Cloverance, who did a performance in the Port of Badalona and Stunfox.
