Marina de Badalona has provided itself with an advisory council of boating experts as a consultative body to deal with, debate and provide opinions on any specialised issue concerning the sea• The team is led by Marcel Mongay, a person with recognised prestige and a track record in this field, who is a senior coasting and high seas skipper by training and has long experience sailing the seas all over the world, as well as spending time as a teacher• At this first stage, the group is completed by Enric Canher, biologist and director of the School of the Sea; Jordi Serrano, an engineer, industrial technician and sailor, and Frederic Ochoa, who has taken a degree course on the merchant navy and provides sailing training for fishermen at Government of Catalonia centres• The statutes of this consultative body were unanimously approved at the meeting of the company's Board of Directors held on 21 July• One of the first things the advisory council has been commissioned to do is to provide an in-depth study on making the boat Ciutat de Badalona fit to sail.
