Marina Badalona, SA, is a commercial company set up on 23 May 2000, initially with public capital, for an indefinite period. Its corporate purpose is the integrated management of the town planning and financial aspects of the process of remodelling and development of Badalona sea front, including the construction, running and management of the city's marina and fishing port.

The company is 50% owned by Badalona City Council and 50% by the Barcelonés County Council. Marina de Badalona holds the concession to manage and run the Port - a concession it obtained from the Executive Council of the Government of Catalonia on 22 January 2002 - and it is, by agreement of a full meeting of the city council, the town planning administration acting for the co-operation process managing the Badalona Port Special Plan.
